Sangsangin Securities analyzed on the 7th that PMT is expected to supply probe cards for high-bandwidth memory (HBM). No investment opinion or target price was provided.

PMT is a specialized company in probe cards for memory. Probe cards are consumable components necessary for functional testing of semiconductor wafers after the front-end process is completed.

Researcher Sojung Lee of Sangsangin Securities said, "PMT is currently supplying all DRAM WBI (Wafer Burn In) probe cards to major client S," adding, "We expect the development of DRAM Die sort test probe cards to be completed within the second quarter and mass production to begin within the year."

He stated, "The market size for DRAM Die sort test directed at major client S (excluding HBM) is approximately 240 billion KRW," and forecasted, "Since this market size is significantly larger compared to PMT's 33 billion KRW sales last year, entering this market could lead to noticeable external growth."

He explained, "A foreign probe card competitor, FormFactor, recently announced strong earnings, reporting that HBM probe card sales doubled compared to the previous quarter and accounted for about half of the DRAM business division," confirming that demand for HBM probe cards is high.

He emphasized, "PMT is expected to develop HBM probe cards within the third quarter and begin mass production within the year," and added, "It is anticipated to benefit from the increased demand for HBM, a key part of the DRAM probe card market."
