Opening Ceremony Held on the 9th, Full-Scale Operation Begins... Expectation for Redevelopment Projects Tailored to Local Conditions and Characteristics
Accelerating Redevelopment with Accurate Information Delivery and Expert Advice
Floor Area Ratio Increased to 400%... Young Yeongdeungpo Expected to Transform with Quality Housing Supply and Expanded Living Infrastructure
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will operate the ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction 2nd Consultation Center’ to quickly resolve residents’ questions about housing maintenance projects and to accelerate the progress of these projects.
As about 80 redevelopment and reconstruction projects currently underway in the district begin to take shape, accurate information delivery and expert advice are necessary for the swift advancement of these maintenance projects.
Additionally, with active redevelopment and reconstruction not only in Singil-dong but also recently in Mullae-dong, Yangpyeong-dong, and Dangsan-dong, this aims to overcome the locational limitations of the 1st Consultation Center located in Singil-dong.
The newly established ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction 2nd Consultation Center’ is located on the 2nd floor of the Mokhwa Village Vitality Center in Mullae-dong (16 Dorim-ro 141ga-gil). It operates from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Two consultation staff members with professional knowledge of maintenance projects will be stationed to provide customized consultations regarding these projects, as well as conduct resident capacity-building education such as maintenance schools and briefing sessions.
On the 9th, an opening ceremony will be held with the attendance of Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor Choi Ho-kwon, district council members, and residents, marking the official start of operations.
The district expects that with the opening of the 2nd Consultation Center, maintenance projects will rapidly progress, driven by factors such as the relaxation of height restrictions and the increase of residential floor area ratio to 400% in semi-industrial areas.
Accordingly, it is anticipated that high-quality housing supply, along with sufficient green spaces and convenience facilities, will create premium residential complexes with enhanced living infrastructure.
By promoting maintenance projects swiftly from multiple angles, the district plans to transform Yeongdeungpo into a new economic hub leading the 4th industrial revolution and a youthful city.
Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor Choi Ho-kwon stated, “As the methods of maintenance projects have recently become increasingly diverse and complex according to local conditions, delivering tailored information and consultations related to redevelopment and reconstruction is more important than ever. Through the opening of this 2nd Consultation Center, we will invigorate the improvement of aging residential areas and create a pleasant living environment, making Yeongdeungpo a youthful city and a premium residential city.”
