Dynamic Duo, Big Mama, and More at 8,500-Seat Venue
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 6th that it will hold the G-KPOP concert at 7 p.m. on the 11th at the multipurpose sports ground in the Hangang Park Sinsa-Jamwon area (behind Miseong Apartment and Sinsa Interchange).
Now in its 4th year, this concert is a representative cultural tourism content held in Gangnam-gu, the center city of K-pop, to attract domestic and international tourists. Previously held in front of COEX, the concert stage has been moved to the Hangang River this time to allow people to enjoy Gangnam's natural infrastructure in a new way.
The concert will feature six artist groups spanning all generations, including the hip-hop group Dynamic Duo, the four-member vocal group Big Mama, the new-generation trot singer Jeong Da-kyung, the modern rock band Nell, the emotional duo MeloMance, and trot singer Jang Min-ho, performing for 150 minutes.
Audience members can enter on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the event. A total of 8,500 seats have been prepared, including 3,000 designated seats, 5,000 standing spots, and 500 picnic seats, so that attendees can enjoy the performance from their preferred spots. The concert will also be broadcast live on the Gangnam-gu Office YouTube channel and Wonder K Live (1theK Live).
Mayor Jo Seong-myeong said, “In celebration of Family Month in May, I hope everyone creates happy memories enjoying the night view of the Hangang River along with the G-KPOP concert,” adding, “We will lead Hallyu tourism by hosting high-quality cultural performances that highlight the charm of Gangnam.”
