Police: "Will Review Criminal Charges Later and Decide on Filing a Case"
On the 5th, Children's Day, a report was received that child pornography was exhibited at a comic and animation event held at KINTEX in Ilsan. The police dispatched officers to the scene to verify the drawings in question.
According to News1, the Western Ilsan Police Station confirmed that some panels featuring adult-themed drawings were displayed in a separate area designated for adults only at the event.

These panels reportedly sexually depicted underage characters from a popular domestic game. The police responded to a report of violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse (Child and Youth Sexual Protection Act). However, since the incident occurred within an adult-only exhibition space, no separate measures were taken.
The Child and Youth Sexual Protection Act defines so-called child pornography as child and youth sexual exploitation material and punishes its production with life imprisonment or imprisonment for at least five years. If such material is sold, rented, distributed for profit, or possessed for such purposes, the penalty is imprisonment for at least five years.
Additionally, the law prohibits photos or videos featuring school uniforms in sexual contexts. The Act considers any person or depiction clearly recognizable as a child or adolescent engaging in sexual acts as "child and youth sexual exploitation material."
A police official told News1, "The Act was not applied at the scene, but we will review the criminal charges later and decide whether to file charges."
Meanwhile, after the incident became known, heated debates erupted in online communities regarding the exhibited material. One netizen criticized, "Is the label 'Children's Lunch Set' even appropriate? It feels like a gathering of sex offenders," while another commented, "It was exhibited in an adult booth, so what's the problem?"
