Avoiding congestion in waiting lines and enabling efficient time use greatly enhances customer convenience and satisfaction
To prevent missed queue numbers, three notification messages are sent: visit alert, mid-wait status alert, and call alert
Paper number ticket service is also operated in parallel for customers who have difficulty using notification messages
Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced on the 5th that it is implementing the ‘Waiting Number Notification Talk’ service, which informs visitors to the district office’s comprehensive civil service center of real-time waiting numbers and status through the Yangcheon-gu Office KakaoTalk channel integration.
Following the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increase in passport issuance applications, the district introduced this service to reduce the on-site waiting burden for residents. SNS notification talk software was installed on two kiosks of the existing integrated civil service waiting number system.
Previously, civil petitioners had to wait for long periods after receiving paper number tickets, causing inconvenience. However, through the notification talk service, users can check the number of people waiting and the expected waiting time in real-time, significantly enhancing convenience for civil petitioners.
To use the service, select “Receive number ticket via KakaoTalk” at the ticket issuance kiosk and enter your mobile phone number. Afterward, registration is processed through the Yangcheon-gu Office KakaoTalk channel, and up to three notification talks are sent: visit notification, mid-waiting status notification (5 people before your turn), and call notification (your turn). However, for those who do not use KakaoTalk or have difficulty using smartphones, the existing paper number ticket issuance service will continue in parallel.
Additionally, to provide high-quality administrative services through improvements to the civil service center environment, the district replaced the old passport receipt date electronic display board with a 40-inch TV monitor in April to enhance visibility. Last year, the old marriage registration photo zone was completely replaced with an experiential photo booth designed like a magazine cover, accessible to anyone visiting the civil service center.
Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “Through the notification talk service, civil petitioners can use their waiting time more efficiently,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide customized, citizen-centered administrative services with a high sense of satisfaction by utilizing various digital technologies.”
