The Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly is recruiting 15 level 6 policy support officers with fixed-term contracts by the 13th of this month.
This measure is to fill vacancies caused by non-renewal of reappointments and resignation of assembly members among the 78 policy support officers first selected last year.
Each of the nine specialized committees, including the Construction and Transportation Expert Committee, will recruit 1 to 3 officers with different qualification criteria. The term is one year, and the employment period can be extended up to five years based on work performance.
The main duties of the policy support officers include ▲ drafting ordinance proposals and reviewing legislative policies ▲ collecting, investigating, and analyzing materials related to budget and settlement reviews ▲ preparing administrative audit and investigation document submission requests and compiling and analyzing related materials ▲ drafting inquiries on provincial administration and compiling and analyzing related materials ▲ supporting the organization of public hearings, seminars, and forums.
The Provincial Assembly will announce the final successful candidates around May 31 after document screening, AI competency tests, and interviews. Appointments will take place after June.
Meanwhile, the competition rate for last year's appointment exam was 4.4 to 1.
