Gwangjin-gu Creates Study Rooms for Low-Income Households

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) announced on the 3rd that it has signed a business agreement with KT Estate (CEO Choi Nam-chul) to improve the living environment of vulnerable groups in the area.

This agreement is linked to corporate social responsibility activities. It supports low-income households by creating study rooms and replacing old wallpaper, flooring, outlets, and electrical equipment to enable them to live in better conditions.

The support targets five low-income multi-child households selected through on-site inspections of households recommended by the local community center, considering income level and number of household members. The improvements will be customized through consultations for each selected household.

The signing ceremony was attended by about 10 officials, including Gwangjin-gu Mayor Kim Kyung-ho and KT Estate CEO Choi Nam-chul. The event proceeded in the order of greetings, progress report, signing of the agreement, and commemorative photo.

The agreement includes ▲ administrative support such as discovering and selecting target households and consulting with owners ▲ joint on-site inspections ▲ support of specialized personnel and materials. The agreement period is until December 31, 2024, and the specific targets and scope of support will be determined through consultation.

Gwangjin-gu Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “I thank CEO Choi Nam-chul of KT Estate and all related personnel who participated in the agreement to improve the living environment of low-income households,” and added, “We will continue to discover various public-private cooperation projects and take the lead in creating a happy city where no neighbors are left behind.”
