According to the reports, Minister Baerbock, who is visiting Australia to meet with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, told reporters in Adelaide, Australia on the same day, "It has become clear that last year's cyberattack was carried out by the hacker group APT28 controlled by the Russian military intelligence agency (GRU)," and made the statement.

Minister Baerbock, visiting Australia for talks with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, elaborated, "This means that Russian state hackers attacked Germany in cyberspace."

Meanwhile, last March, German cybersecurity agencies and Alphabet researchers revealed that a similar group called APT29 was conducting cyberattacks against the German political sphere.
