Grand Prize, 'Children's Laughter at Home^^, Happy Laughter in Ulju-gun^^'
Ulju-gun announced on the 3rd that it held a slogan contest on marriage, childbirth, and childcare, selecting a total of 9 winning entries.
This contest was conducted to improve social awareness of marriage, childbirth, and childcare, and to create a family-friendly atmosphere.
From March 26 to the 9th of last month, a total of 400 slogans were submitted. After evaluation, 9 winners were selected, including 1 grand prize, 2 excellence awards, and 6 encouragement awards.
The grand prize slogan was “Gajeongeneun Aiuseum^^ Ulju-guneun Haengbokauseum^^” (Children’s laughter at home^^ Ulju-gun’s happy laughter^^), which visualized Ulju-gun as a city that brings smiles through marriage, childbirth, and childcare, designed in a cute style.
The excellence slogans were “Sarangui Gyeolsillo Smeoneuneun Ulju! Aiui Useume Haengbokhan Ulju!” (Ulju permeated with the fruits of love! Ulju happy with children’s laughter!) and “Gyeolhoneun Haengbok Haetteumi, Chulsaneun Huimang Haetteumi” (Marriage is a happy sunrise, childbirth is a hopeful sunrise). Six entries, including “Achimeul Yeoneun Ulju, Gajeongui Kkumeul Yeolda” (Ulju opening the morning, opening the dreams of families), received encouragement awards.
Ulju-gun will award prize money ranging from 1,000,000 KRW to 200,000 KRW to the winners.
The slogans selected in the contest will be used to convey Ulju-gun’s values and vision encouraging marriage, childbirth, and childcare through various local events and promotional materials.
County Governor Lee Soon-geol said, “I hope this slogan contest will raise awareness about marriage, childbirth, and childcare,” adding, “As the low birthrate issue emerges as a national problem, we will implement various campaigns and policies to create an environment where the younger generation can live well and to become a region ideal for raising children.”
