Discount Available for the World's Largest Artificial Surfing Park
On May 2, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, signed a partnership agreement with Wave Park Co., Ltd. for mutual cooperation at the county office situation room.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials including Kim Soon-ho, Governor of Gurye-gun, and Kim Yoon-jun, CEO of Wave Park.
Located in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, Wave Park is a complex cultural facility combining a hotel, caravans, and other leisure resorts where visitors can enjoy surfing and various leisure activities year-round. Covering an area of 52,800㎡, it is the largest artificial surfing site in the world.
Through this agreement, residents of Gurye-gun can use Wave Park's free surfing and academy (surfing lessons) services for 20,000 KRW each, and Miocosta (water playground) at a 40% discounted rate.
Governor Kim Soon-ho stated, "This agreement will further enhance the cultural welfare level of local residents," and added, "We will promote it so that many residents can benefit."
