Gwangjin-gu to Host 'Ilgu Day' Job Fair on the 21st

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘Gwangjin-gu Reemployment Special Lecture & Ilgu Day’ from 1 PM on the 21st to ease the job concerns of middle-aged job seekers.

The ‘Ilgu Day (Job Seeking Day)’ event, held at the district office auditorium, focuses on reemployment for middle-aged individuals facing difficulties in finding jobs. It is designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and various job information, while offering companies the chance to hire excellent talent.

First, Lee Nan-young, CEO of The Sseum Life Research Institute, will give a special lecture on employment trends and job search strategies, providing time for career exploration. Following this, six recruiting companies will participate in one-on-one job interviews. The plan is to connect job seekers to employment by providing customized recruitment information tailored to individual characteristics.

Booths will also be operated in cooperation with job-related organizations to offer job counseling and guide employment support programs from each institution. Participating organizations include the Gwangjin-gu Job Center, Seongdong-Gwangjin Employment Welfare+ Center, Seoul Eastern Women’s Development Center, Seoul Eastern Technical Training Institute, Gwangjin 50+ Center, and Seoul Youth Center Gwangjin.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I hope this event will help middle-aged individuals with reemployment and provide satisfactory opportunities for both job seekers and recruiting companies,” adding, “We will do our best to discover jobs and strengthen the employment capabilities of residents in cooperation with job-related organizations.”
