HDC Hyundai Development Company Supports Work Experience for Youth Preparing for Independence and Youth with Disabilities

3-Month Internship Experience at HDC Hyundai Development Company’s Top Partner Firms

HDC Hyundai Development Company is promoting a work experience support project for a total of 18 young adults preparing for independence and young adults with disabilities.

HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 3rd that all 18 participants of the first cohort of the social contribution program 'HDC Symphony Hope Dream Builder,' which was publicly launched at the end of last year, have completed their training.

HDC Symphony Hope Dream Builder is a community win-win program that imparts specialized construction skills to young adults preparing for independence and young adults with disabilities in the metropolitan area, supporting their employment and entrepreneurship in the construction industry. The 18 young adults who participated in the first cohort received practical training related to construction technology at the HDC Symphony Technical Training Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, for about five months starting from December last year, along with psychological counseling and career consulting at a professional counseling center.

Starting this month, HDC Hyundai Development Company will promote a youth work experience support project targeting the graduates of the first cohort. The graduates of the first cohort of HDC Symphony Hope Dream Builder will work as interns for three months until July at excellent partner companies of HDC Hyundai Development Company. Through this, the independent young adults can learn practical construction skills and utilize them for employment and entrepreneurship in the construction industry.

An official from HDC Hyundai Development Company said, "We carried out this activity to provide various work experience opportunities to young adults preparing for independence who relatively lack work experience, helping them with entrepreneurship and employment," and added, "We will actively support HDC Symphony Hope Dream Builder to settle long-term beyond the first cohort that just graduated and the second cohort scheduled to be recruited within this year, and will continue to promote social contribution activities with continuity."
