Ganggu-myeon Community Security Council Conducts Housing Environment Improvement Project for Low-Income Families

The Community Security Council of Ganggu-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, implemented the 'Happy house' project on the 1st as part of a local specialized project to improve the living environment of vulnerable households in welfare blind spots.

Ganggu-myeon Community Security Council Conducts Housing Environment Improvement Project for Low-Income Families On the 1st, the Yeongdeok-gun Ganggu-myeon Community Security Council implemented a residential environment improvement project.

Every year, the council selects households with poor living conditions and carries out housing improvement projects. This year, until June, they are supporting 10 households in the area with wallpapering, flooring, sink and window frame replacement, and installation of electric panels.


In addition, by checking on the daily lives and well-being of the visited households and providing emotional support, the public and private sectors are cooperating to offer additional welfare support so that neighbors in difficulty can live their daily lives in better environments.


Kang Su-jeon, the private committee chairperson, said, “We will carefully check the environment and needs of neighbors in difficulty and find the best possible ways to support them through cooperation between the public and private sectors.”


Hwang Jeong-gi, the public committee chairperson and head of Ganggu-myeon, said, “Housing stability is the minimum condition that sustains life and the most important factor determining the residential environment of the region, so the public and private sectors will continue to cooperate and improve it steadily.”
