Jeonnam Province to Select 'Outstanding Social Economy Enterprises' by the 9th

Support of up to 10 million KRW per company for about 15 companies

Jeonnam Province announced on the 3rd that it will select the '2024 Excellent Social Economy Enterprises' by the 9th to nurture exemplary companies that can lead the social economy in Jeonnam and to spread outstanding cases.


This project is a social economy promotion and support policy aimed at discovering leading companies that take the lead in creating social value for the qualitative growth and leap of the social economy, and widely sharing advanced management models with follower companies.


Jeonnam Province to Select 'Outstanding Social Economy Enterprises' by the 9th

Last year, 16 excellent companies from 11 cities and counties were selected and supported with a total of 150 million KRW worth of company-specialized projects. This year, about 15 companies will be selected.


In particular, this year, in line with changes in the government's social economy support policies, the results of the Social Value Index (SVI) measurement of applicant companies will be reflected in the selection evaluation, and the scope of support has been expanded to include management support such as tax and legal affairs, as well as project expenses for developing new content for companies.


Eligible applicants include preliminary and certified social enterprises, preliminary and designated village enterprises, cooperatives, and self-support enterprises.


Applicants can download the application form from the Jeonnam Province website and submit it via email to the Jeonnam Social Economy Integrated Support Center. The selection results will be individually notified to companies by May after document and face-to-face evaluations.


Kim Seon-ju, Director of the Job Economy Division of Jeonnam Province, said, “We will discover and nurture leading companies that create social value and revitalize the local economy with distinctive businesses, leading the activation of the local social economy. We ask for the interest and applications of many social economy organizations and groups.”
