Indoor Swimming Pool at the Comprehensive Cultural Welfare Town
Since April, Cheongsong-gun in Gyeongbuk has introduced an 'Aqua Aerobics' program at the indoor swimming pool of the Comprehensive Culture and Welfare Town, receiving enthusiastic responses from residents.
Aqua Aerobics is a comprehensive aquatic exercise performed to lively music, utilizing water resistance and buoyancy. It is an excellent workout with benefits including depression prevention, joint protection, weight loss, improved cardiopulmonary endurance and flexibility, and overall enhancement of physical functions.
This course is held twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for 50 minutes starting at 2 p.m. at the swimming pool of the Cheongsong-gun Comprehensive Culture and Welfare Town Youth Training Center, targeting adults. The program consists of aquatic exercises that involve walking and freely using both arms and legs to promote muscle growth and balance the entire body.
The Cheongsong-gun Sports Council has been entrusted with the operation of sports facilities under the Comprehensive Facility Management Office since January this year. Based on the diverse field experience of professional sports instructors, it provides high-quality services to residents, offering specialized training programs and customized management methods, thereby enhancing residents' satisfaction with the sports facilities.
Lee Sang-gon, Chairman of the Cheongsong-gun Sports Council, said, “In response to the increasing membership demand and residents' requests for new programs, we will continue to do our best to ensure that the Cheongsong-gun Sports Council plays a role in providing health and happiness to the residents.”
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “Through the establishment of this Aqua Aerobics program, we will provide diverse and systematic community sports programs and continue to strive for the health promotion of our residents.”
