The Ministry of Health and Welfare stated that there will be "no major disruption such as a complete suspension of medical services" regarding the decision by medical school professors to take one day off per week.

On the morning of the 3rd, Park Min-su, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said at the 'Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Doctors' Collective Action' briefing held at the Government Seoul Office, "Following the decision by the medical school professors' group to take one day off per week, some professors have expressed their intention to take a day off on May 3rd, but it is expected that there will be no major disruption such as a complete suspension of medical services."


Vice Minister Park added, "The government will closely monitor the situation at medical sites to ensure that severe and emergency patients do not feel anxious due to the doctors' collective action, and will also strengthen communication with each medical institution."
