Gachon University Semiconductor Education Center Opening Ceremony

On the 2nd, Gachon University established the 'Gachon Semiconductor Education Center' for customized semiconductor education.

On the same day, Gachon University held an opening ceremony at the Gachon Convention Center and plans to create an innovative model by building a new ecosystem for periodic customized semiconductor education, including ▲Semiconductor Gifted Education (elementary students) ▲Semiconductor Specialized Education (middle and high school students) ▲Fabless Education (youth and adults).

They will also strengthen industry-academia-government cooperation with Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Seongnam City, Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, Korea Fabless Industry Association, and the Semiconductor Society of Korea.

The Semiconductor Education Center will produce practical semiconductor textbooks with a faculty team consisting of four professors dispatched from Samsung Electronics and professors from the semiconductor department, and during vacations, it will hold camps where students can design semiconductor chips directly under the guidance of the faculty.

Additionally, a semiconductor industry seminar will be launched, featuring lectures by current and former CEOs and executives of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, as well as domestic semiconductor scholars, covering semiconductor knowledge and trends.

Choi Miri, Senior Vice President of Gachon University, stated, "Semiconductors are a core industry that determines national competitiveness, comparable to national defense," and added, "The Semiconductor Education Center will become the One Top in nurturing semiconductor professionals with the most innovative education model."
