BNK Financial Group Donates 100 Million Won to Support Local Culture and Arts Development!

Delivered to Busan Yecheong, Accumulated 1.1 Billion KRW Over 12 Years

Used for Local Cultural Events Including Busan Arts Festival

BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Dae-in) delivered a sponsorship fund of 100 million KRW to the Busan Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (Chairman Oh Soo-yeon) at the Busan Bank headquarters on the 2nd.

The total amount of sponsorship funds that BNK Financial Group has supported the Busan Federation of Arts and Culture since 2013, now in its 12th year, has reached 1.1 billion KRW.

Founded in 1963, the Busan Federation of Arts and Culture is a representative cultural organization in the Busan area, consisting of 12 artistic groups including dance, fine arts, theater, film, and music, with over 7,000 members. It currently contributes to regional cultural development by hosting various cultural events.

The delivered sponsorship funds will be used to support major local cultural events organized by the Busan Federation of Arts and Culture this year, such as the ‘Busan Youth Arts Festival,’ ‘Busan Arts Festival,’ ‘Festival of Youth,’ and ‘Galmaerang Festival.’

BNK Financial Group, centered on its banking affiliates Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank, actively engages in sponsorship activities to expand the base of regional culture and arts. Busan Bank supports events such as the ‘Busan Fireworks Festival,’ ‘Busan Maru International Music Festival,’ and ‘Gallery and Small Theater Operations,’ while Gyeongnam Bank supports the ‘Gyeongnam Opera Company,’ ‘Corporate Love Mecenat Concert,’ and ‘Ulsan Taehwagang Arts Festival.’

In particular, Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank were recognized for their achievements in supporting culture and arts and were selected for the fourth consecutive year last November as ‘Outstanding Cultural Arts Sponsorship Institutions’ certified by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
