"Threats of 'I will post it on the internet'"
A group of young customers caused outrage by creating a disturbance at a restaurant, including throwing glass cups in dissatisfaction with the service.
On the 2nd, JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' reported on a group of customers in their 20s and 30s who caused a ruckus at a restaurant. According to the report, on the 18th of last month, a group of four men and two women, appearing to be in their 20s and 30s, visited a restaurant near Noryangjin Fish Market and ordered alcohol and jjambbongtang (spicy seafood noodle soup). It was reported that the two women were already intoxicated upon arrival at the establishment.
After some time, one member of the group asked to have the jjambbongtang reheated, but the restaurant staff expressed concern that reheating might make the seafood too salty, saying, "It might lose its flavor." In response, the group spoke informally, saying, "Just add water or make a new one."
The reporting owner said, "They were complaining to the part-time worker while the food was being reheated," and added, "One of them said, 'It's so disgustingly bad that I won't eat it.'" The owner continued, "We apologized several times, but they threw cups on the floor and cursed," and claimed, "They threatened us by saying, 'We'll post this online,' and 'We'll report you every day to ruin your business.'"
The restaurant's internal closed-circuit television (CCTV) captured these actions in full. One male customer threw a glass cup he was holding onto the floor, scattering broken glass shards everywhere. The startled owner froze on the spot. When the flustered owner and his spouse approached, the customer aggressively confronted them.
Additionally, one of the female customers in the group was seen hopping around while making obscene gestures with her fingers. She continued making obscene gestures even after leaving the restaurant. Later, when the group got into an argument with other customers at different tables, the owner eventually reported the incident to the police. However, it is reported that the owner has not yet received any apology or contact from the problematic group.
Netizens who came across this story responded with comments such as, "Birds of a feather flock together. They should be ashamed," "Self-employed people dealing with customers suffer every day," and "Revealing their identities is the answer."
