Eurozone April Manufacturing PMI at 45.7... Declines from Previous Month

Economic Expansion and Contraction Divided by Below 50 Threshold

The Eurozone's manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for April declined compared to the previous month.


According to S&P Global on the 2nd, the Eurozone manufacturing PMI for April stood at 45.7, lower than the previous month's 46.1. It slightly exceeded the preliminary figure of 45.6 released at the end of last month.


It remained below 50, which is the threshold for judging economic expansion or contraction. A PMI below 50 indicates a contraction in business conditions.
