A Man in His 50s Arrested for Wielding a Weapon at a Karaoke Room in Mapo-gu Against an Acquaintance

A man in his 50s who wielded a weapon at an acquaintance while intoxicated at a karaoke room was arrested by the police.

The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 2nd that they arrested Mr. A on charges of special assault.

Mr. A is accused of stabbing his acquaintance, a man in his 40s named Mr. B, with a weapon during an argument at a karaoke room near Mangwon Station in Mapo-gu around 11:40 PM the previous day. Mr. B sustained serious injuries to his abdomen and was transported to a hospital.

The police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. A on the spot near the karaoke room. It was confirmed that Mr. A was intoxicated at the time of the arrest.

The police are currently investigating the specific motive behind Mr. A's crime.
