Hanshin Engineering & Construction announced on the 2nd that it has introduced a new architectural keyword, ‘Cul-struction’ (a compound of Culture + Construction).
Cul-struction signifies pioneering a new field through the fusion of construction and culture and the arts. It is Hanshin Engineering & Construction’s new architectural trend tailored to the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, where various fields go beyond merely exchanging information to mutually integrating. Notably, since July 2022, the company has established an official partnership with the Hwanggi Foundation and Hwanggi Museum, carrying out various joint projects such as museum maintenance, exhibition sponsorship, support for young artists, and co-development of external designs.
As part of Cul-struction, Hanshin Engineering & Construction introduced stylish graffiti art into newly constructed apartments. Graffiti art is a type of street art widely known as a form of graffiti culture in Europe. Through continuous collaboration with biNoo, a first-generation graffiti artist representing Korea, the company has showcased graffiti art for residents at various new construction sites such as Busan Goejeong Hanshin The Hue and Sejong Hanshin The Hue Reserve II. This new approach of incorporating graffiti art into the previously static and monotonous apartment exteriors has been praised for embodying the unique value and distinctive sensibility of the Hanshin The Hue brand.

A Hanshin Engineering & Construction official stated, “In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, where exchange and fusion with other fields are increasingly important, we are expanding exchanges with the culture and arts sector. As part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management that emphasizes corporate social responsibility beyond mere profit-making activities, we developed the keyword ‘Cul-struction’ to create a new culture in the construction industry.”
