Gochang-gun and Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Sign 'Rural Agreement' Worth 43.7 Billion KRW...

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 2nd that it will actively promote 13 projects worth 43.7 billion KRW to realize the vision of "Gochang, a rural preservation area where all residents are happy" through the Rural Agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

The main projects will be carried out over five years until 2028, in line with the rural spatial strategic plan and rural living zone revitalization plan.


The key projects include ▲ Gochang-eup Rural Hub Revitalization Project (10.8 billion KRW) ▲ Daesan-myeon Rural Hub Revitalization Project (8.5 billion KRW) ▲ Buan-myeon Basic Living Base Creation Project (4.6 billion KRW) ▲ Mujang-myeon Basic Living Base Creation Project Phase 2 (1.6 billion KRW) ▲ Haeri-myeon Basic Living Base Creation Project Phase 2 (1.8 billion KRW) ▲ Heungdeok-myeon Songam Village Vulnerable Area Living Condition Improvement Project (1.5 billion KRW), among others.


Additionally, ▲ Seongsong-myeon Eorim and Gyeyang District Rural Spatial Maintenance Project (9.6 billion KRW) ▲ Livestock Odor Improvement Project (2.1 billion KRW) ▲ Odor Measurement ICT Equipment Installation Support Project (40 million KRW) ▲ Gong-eum-myeon Rural Idle Facility Utilization Regional Revitalization Project (450 million KRW) ▲ Buan-myeon Rural Idle Facility Utilization Regional Revitalization Project (450 million KRW) ▲ Rural Care Service Activation Project (460 million KRW) ▲ Gochang-gun-wide Rural Transportation Model (1.8 billion KRW), etc.


Through the establishment of the Da:Dream Nuri Center, which delivers the living service functions of Gochang-eup, the upper hub of Gochang-gun, to 13 eup and myeon, sustainable growth engines have been secured to respond to population decline and regional imbalance gaps.


The county plans to revitalize the community through linked plans with 30 projects that were originally promoted as individual projects, creating a rural image where all residents can be happy.


County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, "We will do our best to transform the rural areas, which are on the brink of extinction, into attractive and beautiful spaces and make Gochang a place where all residents are happy."
