This youth special advisor is a young activist who has been involved in various local activities, including serving as the vice president of the Icheon Youth Small Business Association, chairman of the Youth Activity Network, and head of the publicity team at the Youth Policy Development Center. The term is two years, during which he will build youth networks, gather public opinion to propose policies, and provide advice to the mayor.

The special advisor stated, "I will serve as an interpreter providing information and facts so that young people can more easily access and understand youth policies, and I will strive to leverage my experience in youth activities to encourage young people to take an interest in city administration."

Previously, the city established the Youth and Children Division last year, a dedicated department supporting young people.

Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon, said, "We expect the Youth Special Advisor to serve as a communication channel to confirm the vivid voices and policy demands of young people," adding, "We will do our best to support the hopeful future that the youth of Icheon will create."
