Jinju-si to Host 2024 Children's Day Celebration Event

Jinju City in Gyeongnam will hold the '2024 Children's Day Commemoration Event' at 10 a.m. on the 5th at the outdoor performance area of Jinju Sports Complex in celebration of the 102nd Children's Day.

The Children's Day commemoration event is held annually to practice love for children so that children, the future leaders of society, can grow up healthy and happy, and to instill dreams and hope in children.

This year's Children's Day commemoration event will begin with performances such as the Air Force Honor Guard's motion demonstration and the Goun Bit Sori Choir's singing of Children's Day songs, followed by awards for contributions to creating a child-friendly environment, a commemorative speech, and congratulatory remarks from guests.

After the ceremony, side events organized by the Jinju Child Committee will include contests such as quizzes and dance competitions where children can directly participate, as well as performances like magic shows and various hands-on experience zones such as air bounces and robot fish experiences. These activities are planned to provide diverse sights and entertainment for children and families visiting the event on Children's Day.

Additionally, a photo zone featuring Harmo, Jinju City's representative tourism character loved by citizens, and various experience and promotional booths linked with local community resources will be operated to promote Jinju as a child-friendly city.
