GH Donates Funds to Preserve National Intangible Cultural Heritage at Risk of Disappearance Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation

Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has donated sponsorship funds to preserve national intangible cultural heritage.


On the 2nd, GH announced that on the 29th of last month, it delivered sponsorship funds to the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation to support the preservation and transmission activities of national intangible cultural heritage at risk of extinction.


Accordingly, GH provided 10 million KRW each to holders in three fields last year and this year: National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 11-2 ‘Pyeongtaek Nongak’, No. 29 ‘Seodo Sori’, and No. 47 ‘Gungjangsi’.


Previously, GH began supporting the holder of National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 79 ‘Baltar’ in 2018, and in 2021 and 2022, supported three holders of National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 22 ‘Maedeupjang’ and No. 64 ‘Duseokjang’.


Since signing the ‘Cultural Heritage Keeper’ agreement with the Cultural Heritage Administration in 2010, GH has been recognized for its contributions through various cultural heritage preservation and utilization projects, receiving the Cultural Heritage Administration Commissioner’s Commendation in 2016 as the first local public enterprise to do so.


A GH official stated, "As various development projects, including the 3rd phase new towns, are actively underway in the province, we plan to carry out diverse cultural heritage preservation and utilization projects that can be shared with local residents."
