The business agreement ceremony took place at Seoul City Hall, attended by KB Securities' Head of Communications Im Kyung-sik, Seoul City’s Director of the Accompaniment for the Vulnerable Promotion Team Jo Mi-sook, Everyone's 1st Floor Initiative CEO Lim Sung-taek, and other project stakeholders.
The Everyone's 1st Floor × Seoul project is a 'Public-Private Partnership Project for Accompanying the Vulnerable,' where the Seoul Metropolitan Government and private companies jointly address social issues that cannot be resolved by public will and efforts alone. The project supports the installation of ramps to improve accessibility to convenience facilities for transportation-vulnerable and mobility-impaired individuals.
KB Securities, as the first private company sponsoring Everyone's 1st Floor × Seoul, plans to support the installation of entrance ramps at first-floor stores targeting franchise outlets and general small business owners in areas with large populations of transportation-vulnerable and mobility-impaired people, such as Gangseo-gu and Nowon-gu.
Im Kyung-sik, Head of Communications at KB Securities, said, "KB Securities actively supports local communities and society in line with social issues such as human rights and diversity to help vulnerable groups. We will continue to lead in creating social value alongside ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-centered sustainable management."
KB Securities is implementing various support projects for vulnerable groups to strengthen community bonds. These include the 'Kkaebi Securities Soccer School,' which provides sports education to vulnerable children; the 'Baemin Vacation Lunchbox' project, delivering lunchboxes to children at risk of food insecurity during school vacations in collaboration with Woowa Brothers; and support for overdue health insurance premiums for low-income vulnerable youth. Additionally, the company runs diverse support projects such as the 'Happy Ttukttak Rural Medical Volunteer Service' to reduce medical disparities between urban and rural areas, and the 1-night 2-day 'Kkaebi Securities Happy Camping' with underprivileged families.
