Gyeonggi Province will hold a business briefing session for the province's city and county tourism departments and tourism industry workers on the 3rd and 7th of this month regarding the 'Gyeonggi Tourism Integrated Pass (Gyeonggi Tour Pass)'.
The Gyeonggi Tour Bus allows users to visit major museums, art galleries, and tourist attractions within the province at up to 79% discounted prices with just a single payment. Although it was launched last year and received high praise from users, there were many criticisms about the concentration of affiliated stores in certain cities and counties that needed improvement.
This business briefing session has been organized to resolve the affiliated store issues and promote the attraction of new affiliated stores. In particular, the session will discuss expanding the 'Gyeonggi Tour Pass', provided as a return gift for the Hometown Love Donation Program, to all 31 cities and counties within the province.
The Gyeonggi Tour Pass will begin with an integrated pass at the end of May, followed by the sequential release of passes for the East, West, South, and North regions, region-specific passes, and popular tourist destination package passes.
Park Yang-deok, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Last year, the Gyeonggi Tour Pass received high praise for its cost-effectiveness and convenience, earning a 4.9 out of 5 rating on Naver. Through this business briefing session, we hope to expand it into a tourism product that all residents can experience, and through this, we expect Gyeonggi Province to emerge as an attractive tourist destination for domestic tourists."
The Gyeonggi Tour Pass was launched in August 2023 and recorded sales of over 24,000 units within four months.
