Lotte Department Store Jamsil AvenueL, Traditional Namdo Korean Cuisine 'Haenam Cheonilgwan' Opens

Professional Sommelier On-site, Pairing Service Available

Lotte Department Store announced on the 2nd that it will open the Korean dining restaurant Haenam Cheonilgwan on the 6th floor of Jamsil AvenueL on the 4th.

Haenam Cheonilgwan is an authentic Namdo Korean cuisine specialty restaurant that has maintained its legacy for 100 years across four generations. It started in 1924 in Haenam, Jeollanam-do under the name Cheonilgwan, and changed its name to Haenam Cheonilgwan when it moved to Seoul in 1990. The Haenam Cheonilgwan opening in Jamsil AvenueL is the second branch following the Banpo main store and the first store in a retail company.

All dishes use seasonal ingredients grown in Korea and bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients without any chemical seasonings. The menu consists of three courses, priced between 60,000 and 170,000 KRW per person. A professional wine sommelier is stationed at the store to offer pairing services by recommending wines that match the menu and customers' preferences.

Jamsil AvenueL, the first luxury department store in Korea to achieve annual sales of 1 trillion KRW, is captivating customers' palates by expanding premium dining options. Following the opening of the stateless charcoal-grilled specialty restaurant 'Moktan Jang' in October last year, it opened the Michelin one-star Spanish restaurant 'Terreno Seoul' in December.

Kim Hee-cheol, buyer of the dining team at Lotte Department Store, said, "Our goal is to make Jamsil AvenueL, which is visited by the top-tier customers within Lotte Department Store, a 'Gourmet Street' where they can enjoy the finest table dining."
