On Labor Day, a man in his 30s falls to his death at a food manufacturing company in Gimhae

On Labor Day, a worker in his 30s fell to his death at a manufacturing company in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.

According to the Gimhae Jungbu Police Station, at around 10:36 a.m. on the 1st, Mr. A, who was working on a lift at the second-floor height at a food manufacturing company in Andong, Gimhae-si, fell to the first floor.

Mr. A suffered severe head and back injuries and was transported to a hospital after a report by a colleague, but he passed away shortly thereafter.

The company where the accident occurred is a workplace with more than five regular employees, and a work suspension order was issued following the accident.

The police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor plan to investigate whether there was any negligence on the part of the company officials and review the applicability of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
