Inauguration Ceremony Held at Anyangcheon on the 30th... Disinfection Vehicles and Safety Supplies Provided to Guro-gu Autonomous Disinfection Team
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held a Saemaeul Autonomous Quarantine Team launch ceremony at Anyangcheon on the 30th.
The district annually promotes the Saemaeul Autonomous Quarantine Team project, a joint public-private quarantine and disinfection activity, to prevent infectious diseases transmitted by mosquitoes during the summer.
At the launch ceremony, Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, and about 70 members of the Guro-gu Saemaeul Autonomous Quarantine Team checked quarantine equipment together, reaffirming their commitment to this year’s quarantine activities before the project begins.
The district replaced old quarantine vehicles in Oryu 2-dong and Sugung-dong and allocated a new quarantine vehicle in Hang-dong by providing a budget of 69 million KRW, delivering three eco-friendly LPG quarantine vehicles to the Saemaeul Autonomous Quarantine Team.
In addition, 7,100 units of nine types of quarantine and safety supplies were delivered to actively support smooth and prompt quarantine activities.
Also, educational materials on mosquitoes that transmit infectious diseases such as malaria and fogging quarantine equipment were exhibited at the event site to raise awareness of the importance of quarantine and promote infectious disease prevention methods.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, “I thank the Saemaeul Autonomous Quarantine Team for their active cooperation in local quarantine activities every year despite the heat waves,” and added, “Guro-gu will also do its best to prevent infectious diseases and create a pleasant Guro.”
