Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) held a briefing session on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act on the afternoon of the 30th at the Mapo-gu Office auditorium for over 150 business owners and related personnel from small-scale workplaces with 5 to fewer than 50 employees.
This briefing was organized to help workplaces struggling to establish safety and health management systems and to strengthen their capabilities, following the expansion of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act to small-scale workplaces starting January 27 of this year.
Before the briefing, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, "I hope today's briefing will be an opportunity to protect valuable workplaces and solidify safety and health management systems," and added, "Along with regular safety inspections, I ask for your great interest and effort to ensure that safety rules are properly followed on site."
He continued, "Mapo-gu will also make every effort to prioritize safety as the highest value and create a Mapo where everyone can live comfortably."
