"e-Mobility's Davos Forum" Gathering of Domestic and International Experts
The International e-Mobility Expo, which reviews domestic and international market trends and issues in electrified mobility, opened on the 30th. It was held under the name International Electric Vehicle Expo for the past 10 years, but from this year, the scope has been expanded to include all electric-powered mobility means such as ships, Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and drones.
This year’s event, held over four days starting today, carries the slogan “Global Eco-friendly e-Mobility and Energy Industry Great Transformation Platform.” The International e-Mobility Expo and the World EV Council co-host the event, which is organized by the Expo Organizing Committee.

Kim Daehwan, co-chairman of the organizing committee, said at a press conference before the official opening, “Starting with electric vehicles, we have embraced eco-friendly ships, UAM, smart agricultural machinery, and more, establishing ourselves as a central hub gathering significant energy in the e-mobility industry. We will lead the expansion of the business ecosystem by driving the rapid technological evolution of e-mobility and the great transformation of the energy industry.”
The exhibition includes both an offline venue and a virtual exhibition. Over 500 companies, including domestic and international automakers, are participating. The organizers expect about 500 B2B consultation sessions with invited overseas buyers during the event.
The conference, attended by domestic and international experts, has about 150 sessions planned. Topics include the electrification direction of various mobility means including electric vehicles, battery and charging technologies, autonomous driving technology trends, and the development direction of the power industry.

Following the opening ceremony, a summit titled “Challenges and Opportunities in the e-Mobility Industry” was held. The summit, chaired by Lee Heebeom, chairman of Booyoung Group and former Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, featured presentations and discussions by experts in sectors such as electric ships, UAM, batteries, wind power and hydrogen, defense industry, electrified components, and startup economy.
Coinciding with this event, the 3rd International University Student EV Autonomous Driving Competition, with about 100 teams participating, was held. The 9th General Assembly of the World Electric Vehicle Council and the 2nd International Eco-friendly Ship Expo were also held simultaneously. For the first time this year, a drone autonomous driving competition was held together. At the World EV Council General Assembly and Forum held this morning, an awards ceremony was held for 14 companies that received the newly established “IEVE Innovation Technology Award” this year.
