"Like a dying party with no hope or expectations after the general election defeat," via SNS
Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam Province, sharply criticized his home party, the People Power Party.
Through his SNS, Governor Kim wrote, "After the crushing defeat in the general election, the People Power Party seems like a dying party with no hope or expectations," adding, "A lawmaker who served as the head of the talent recruitment committee and the nomination management committee throughout the general election should be reflecting quietly, yet how can they have the face to be the floor leader? The reason for the massive defeat in the general election is precisely because they failed to read public sentiment."
He continued, "Senior lawmakers should stop their cowardly politics of only looking out for their own safety while being cautious," emphasizing, "Find roles of sacrifice and dedication for the party, and choose an honorable political death."
Governor Kim appealed, "There is no modern-day Hua Tuo," and urged, "As the ruling party bearing infinite responsibility to the nation and the people, I earnestly ask all members to create a new party with the spirit of putting the party before personal interests."
