Traffic Congestion Caused by Commemorative Photo Shoot
"I Will Accept Punishment for the Violation"

A bizarre incident occurred in the middle of a road in Vietnam where a couple about to get married and their party stopped for commemorative photos, causing traffic congestion.

Recently, local Vietnamese media such as 'D?n Tr?' reported on an incident that took place on the north-south main road in Hai Duong, northern Vietnam, on the 21st (local time). At that time, four wedding cars occupied the road, and the bride and groom stopped in the middle of the road to take commemorative photos. In particular, the bride and groom posed and clapped while receiving congratulations from their friends. It is known that they suddenly stopped to take photos while on their way to the wedding venue.

Videos posted on social networking services (SNS) show a procession of wedding cars consisting of pink luxury sedans standing in the middle of the road. This caused severe traffic congestion for the vehicles behind them. Local netizens who saw the incident reacted by saying, "The bride and groom ignored traffic laws," and "They should be strictly punished according to the law."

As the controversy grew, one of the parties involved apologized on TikTok on the 26th, saying, "Our purpose was to capture beautiful moments on an important day, but we did not realize that such actions constituted traffic obstruction and violations," and added, "We will accept punishment for the violations."

Local police, having received related reports, launched an investigation. The regional police summoned four people involved in the incident for questioning and temporarily confiscated their driver's licenses. The police also stated that a Mercedes-Benz Maybach S400 vehicle, which was operated without a license plate, was temporarily seized.
