Chosun University announced that it has signed a business agreement with Sinan County for regional development and global advancement.
The signing ceremony, held at 10:30 a.m. on the 30th in the Cheongchuleorum of the Chosun University main building, was attended by Kim Chun-sung, President of Chosun University; Cho Yoon-sung, Dean of the College of Arts and Physical Education; Kim Hyun-woo, Director of External Cooperation; Wi Sung-ok, Deputy Director of External Cooperation; Park Woo-ryang, Mayor of Sinan County; Lee Joo-bin, Policy Advisor; Park Sang-gyu, Director of Tourism Promotion; Kim Jae-seok, Director of Culture and Arts; Park Sung-jin, Director of Garden and Forestry; and Seo Yong-rak, Director of Education and Welfare.
Through this agreement, both institutions agreed to mutually cooperate for regional development and global advancement.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ comprehensive exchanges to promote mutual understanding and cooperation ▲ cooperation for the creation of Sinan County’s Art Islands and complex cultural spaces ▲ Korean language and job competency education for foreign workers in Sinan County ▲ establishment of global policies and development of programs for Sinan County.
Kim Chun-sung, President of Chosun University, stated, "When the region and the university work together, we can move forward into the era of local autonomy," adding, "Let us combine Sinan County’s vision and values with Chosun University’s capabilities to create a cooperative model between local governments and universities."
Park Woo-ryang, Mayor of Sinan County, said, "In an era where well-preserved natural environments become a competitive advantage, let us create a value of coexistence through close cooperation with Chosun University on the Art Island project that utilizes Sinan County’s wind, sunlight, and sea resources."
