Jang In-hwa, Chairman of POSCO Holdings, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Korea Iron & Steel Association.
The Korea Iron & Steel Association held an extraordinary general meeting on the morning of the 30th at the Art Hall on the 4th floor of the West Building of POSCO Center, attended by representatives of member companies, and appointed Chairman Jang as the 10th chairman.

Chairman Jang graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and earned a doctorate from MIT Graduate School. After joining POSCO, he served as Head of Steel Production Division, President of POSCO, and in March of this year, he was inaugurated as Chairman of POSCO Holdings.
Founded in 1975, the Korea Iron & Steel Association has had the POSCO chairman concurrently serve as its chairman since the first chairman, Park Tae-joon. The chairman's term is three years. Established to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic steel industry and to serve as a bridge between the public and private sectors, the association includes about 40 steel manufacturers, distribution companies, and organizations such as POSCO, Hyundai Steel, Dongkuk Steel, and SeAH Steel.
