Producing and Broadcasting Korean News in Various Native Languages
More than 2,600 foreign promoters of Korean culture are beginning their full-scale activities.
On the 30th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an inauguration ceremony under the theme "The Beginning of the Hallyu Journey!" at the CKL Stage of the Korea Creative Content Agency in Jung-gu, Seoul, and presented appointment letters. Minister Yoon In-chon said, "You, who are spreading the charm of Korea around the world and forming a large-scale Hallyu network, are precious friends of Korea," adding, "I hope you continue to communicate through culture and foster understanding and friendship."
About 100 promoters based in Korea attended the inauguration ceremony. Promoters from various countries around the world also participated via online video conference.
Earlier, the Ministry selected 2,641 foreign promoters of Korean culture, including 1,387 from 93 countries as the 14th Korea.net Honorary Reporters and 1,254 from 97 countries as the 5th K-Influencers. They will produce and disseminate news related to Korea in their native languages for one year.
