Seogwipo Fire Station Conducts Special Rescue Training to Prepare for Summer Water Accidents

Seogwipo Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 30th that it recently conducted a joint summer drowning accident special rescue training involving civilian, government, and military personnel near Oedolgae in Seogwipo City.

A total of 25 people, including 10 members of the Seogwipo Fire Station 119 Rescue Team, participated in this training. The training involved underwater (diving) exercises and rope rescue drills to prepare for isolated fishing accidents on rocky shores near Oedolgae, Seogwipo. It also served as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation by sharing rescue techniques and field know-how among the agencies.

Chief Ko Jae-woo stated, "In drowning accidents, it is important to overcome unexpected situations and conduct rescues quickly and safely." He added, "I hope that the skills honed through this joint civilian-government-military training will translate into effective field responses, ensuring the safety and protection of the lives of the residents."
