The KOSPI rose on net purchases by foreigners, recovering the 2700 level.
As of 9:57 a.m. on the 30th, the KOSPI recorded 2707.25, up 19.81 points (0.74%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners were net buyers of 120.4 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions were net sellers of 111.2 billion KRW and 19.7 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, chemicals and construction rose more than 1%. Services, machinery, food and beverages, paper and wood, and telecommunications also showed slight gains. On the other hand, electricity and gas, medical precision, and insurance sectors showed slight declines.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics traded at 77,900 KRW, up 1,200 KRW (1.56%) from the previous trading day. LG Solution, Celltrion, and LG Chem also rose more than 2%. NAVER was up 1.25%. Conversely, KB Financial fell 1.83%, and Hyundai Motor, POSCO Holdings, and others also declined slightly.
The KOSDAQ recorded 872.35, up 2.63 points (0.30%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 37.5 billion KRW and 81.9 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals were net buyers of 129.4 billion KRW.
By sector, medical and precision instruments rose 1.22%, with software, information devices, non-metallic minerals, other manufacturing, and machinery equipment also showing gains. Conversely, construction, chemicals, paper and wood, and internet sectors declined slightly.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM traded at 240,000 KRW, up 1,000 KRW (0.42%) from the previous trading day. Celltrion Pharm rose 3.15%, while Rainbow Robotics and Classys increased more than 2%. EcoPro and Rigachem Bio also rose more than 1%. On the other hand, Enchem fell 2.34%, and Alteogen dropped 1.36%.
