KB Securities is terminating its stock trading service on its homepage and transitioning to an information-sharing channel. The company plans to concentrate its stock trading service capabilities on customer-oriented investment platforms such as the Mobile Trading System (MTS) and Web Trading System (WTS).
On the 30th, KB Securities announced that starting from 5 p.m. on the 26th, it began converting the KB Securities homepage into an 'information-sharing' channel that provides investment information and various content, and will discontinue the 'Power Trading Service' that allowed trading of stocks and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).
KB Securities stated, "We are attempting various changes to reflect customer demand and provide investment platforms suitable for the digital era," adding, "Currently, to maximize convenience and portability for investors, KB Securities is focusing its stock trading service capabilities on KB Securities' representative MTS platforms, KB M-able (M-able) and M-able mini (M-able Mini), as well as the Home Trading System (HTS) H-able, while also offering the WTS (Web Trading System) M-able Wide to satisfy the diverse needs of investment customers."
In particular, KB Securities launched the WTS M-able Wide last November, which is compatible with the Mac operating system (OS) and can be used on web browsers without separate installation. Through this service, investors can use the M-able Wide service not only on PCs but also on iPads and Android tablets, allowing investors using both PCs and tablets to trade stocks conveniently. As of March this year, M-able Wide has achieved a cumulative trading volume of 330 billion KRW combining domestic and overseas stocks.
Ha Woo-sung, Head of Digital Business Division at KB Securities, said, "To enhance investor convenience, KB Securities' homepage will be converted into an information-sharing channel while focusing on providing investment platforms utilizing digital media such as MTS and WTS," adding, "KB Securities will continue to do its best to become a securities company that leads a customer-oriented investment culture."
