Jeonggwanjang Launches 'Gidalim Chimhyang', a Specialized Brand for Agarwood

Original Aquilaria Use Announced by MFDS Notification

KGC Ginseng Corporation's CheongKwanJang announced on the 30th that it is making a full-scale entry into the agarwood market by launching the premium agarwood specialty brand ‘Gidalim Chimhyang’.

Agarwood refers to the resinous substance secreted by the agarwood tree when it is wounded to protect and heal itself. It takes a long period of 10 to 20 years for the resin to coagulate and mature, and only a small amount can be harvested from one tree, making it a precious ingredient since ancient times. Agarwood has been specially used in major texts such as the Donguibogam and Bencao Gangmu, and along with ambergris from sperm whales and musk from musk deer, it is considered one of the world's three great fragrances.

The newly launched Gidalim Chimhyang by CheongKwanJang not only uses genetic analysis technology to identify the origin of agarwood for greater reliability but also uses only high-quality agarwood that has been further verified for cultivators, cultivation sites, grades, and origins through certification issued by Indonesia's Ministry of Environment and Forestry (BKSDA).

The main production areas of agarwood are Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Vietnam, and it is known that there are more than 20 species. The ‘Gidalim Chimhyang’ introduced by CheongKwanJang uses only Indonesian-sourced Aquilaria malaccensis, registered in the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s Food Code. To procure high-quality raw materials, the product undergoes a 9-step raw material traceability management process to meticulously verify the source and purity of the raw materials from the production site to the final product.

CheongKwanJang Gidalim Chimhyang offers two product lineups: a decoction liquid and pills. ‘Gidalim Chimhyang Liquid’ is a 100% pure agarwood decoction liquid that allows you to fully experience the essence of agarwood. Each ampoule contains 2g of high-concentration agarwood, enabling you to feel the rapidly replenishing energy of agarwood. You can consume an entire ampoule as is or dissolve it in warm water to savor the taste and aroma of agarwood.

‘Gidalim Chimhyang Pills’ are formulated by blending agarwood with plant concentrated extracts such as rehmannia, ophiopogon, asarum, ganoderma, angelica, and atractylodes to double the energy of agarwood.
