Issuance of 'Seongdong Love Gift Certificates' Worth 10 Billion Won for Family Month

Issuance of 10 Billion Won at 5% Discount Starting May 3 at 10 AM
Convenient Smartphone Payments at 9,392 Local Franchise Stores with Up to 30% Income Tax Deduction Benefits

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will issue Seongdong Love Gift Certificates worth 10 billion KRW in celebration of Family Month in May.

Starting from 10 a.m. on May 3, the certificates will be sold at a 5% discount, and individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month through the new Seoul Pay+ application. The holding limit is 1.5 million KRW per person.

The Seongdong Love Gift Certificates can be conveniently used via smartphone without a card at any of the 9,392 affiliated stores within the district, including traditional markets, academies, restaurants, and beauty salons. Additionally, users can benefit from a 30% year-end tax deduction.

The district has actively promoted the issuance of Seongdong Love Gift Certificates to support residents facing financial difficulties due to rising interest rates and inflation, as well as small business owners in crisis. This initiative helps reduce household burdens, offers small business owners exemption from payment fees, and prevents local funds from flowing out, thereby greatly contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

Due to strong interest from residents, 50 billion KRW worth of Seongdong Love Gift Certificates were sold last year. In the first issuance of this year, conducted in January for the Lunar New Year, certificates worth 4 billion KRW were issued and all sold out.
