Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Launches Joint Public-Private-Police Special Campaign to Promote Proper Dining Culture

On the afternoon of the 29th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District Office, launched a joint special campaign involving the public, government, and police near Yeongdeungpo Samgakji to promote a ‘Proper Dining Culture.’

The campaign was attended by Mayor Choi Ho-gwon, district office officials, Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and the Yeongdeungpo Central Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit, and was conducted as a special measure to eradicate illegal outdoor business operations, solicitation activities, and drug-related crimes.

The district visited restaurants and entertainment establishments around Yeongdeungpo Samgakji to encourage business owners’ voluntary participation in creating a proper and safe dining culture.

Additionally, through the distribution of promotional leaflets, the campaign provided guidance on compliance requirements for business operators, administrative sanctions imposed for providing venues for drug crimes, and violations of the Food Sanitation Act, while conducting education and inspections.

Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District said, “As the weather warms up, illegal outdoor business operations and solicitation activities are occurring.” He added, “We will do our best to minimize inconvenience to residents through continuous inspections rather than one-time efforts and to foster a proper dining culture.”
