Mokpo Police Station (Chief Kim Beomsang) announced on the 29th that it held the 1st Mokpo City Autonomous Police Working Council of 2024 in the police station conference room to facilitate the smooth execution of autonomous police affairs and coordinate work cooperation among related organizations.
At the meeting, a total of 11 autonomous police affairs agenda items were presented, including the smart security streetlight installation project to improve perceived safety and 10 other items.

The meeting proceeded in a manner where the proposing department explained the agenda, the relevant department responded, and the autonomous police working council members discussed it.
The autonomous police working council agreed to continue discovering various community-based public safety policies related to autonomous police affairs (crime prevention, traffic, women and youth) and actively cooperate to resolve them.
A Mokpo Police Station official stated, “If there are policies needed for autonomous police affairs for the safety of Mokpo City, the autonomous police working council members will strengthen the collaboration system with local governments so that these can be discussed regularly at the working council meetings.”
