On the same day, Vice Minister Lee announced this while forming the 'Pension Reform Promotion Team' to prepare pension reform measures and holding the first meeting on the 29th. The meeting discussed the operation plan for the Pension Reform Promotion Team.

The 'Pension Reform Promotion Team' is led by Lee Gi-il, the 1st Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, and includes related departments such as the Pension Policy Office, Planning and Coordination Office, and the Spokesperson's Office. The team is composed of the Planning and Legislation Team, System Improvement Team, External Cooperation Team, and Public Relations and Communication Team, and performs tasks such as supporting the amendment of the National Pension Reform Act, reviewing measures to improve the National Pension system, and providing information related to reform. At the meeting, the National Pension Service also attended to discuss the operation of the Pension Reform Support TF established within the Service and future plans.

Vice Minister Lee said, "The government has prepared the 5th Comprehensive Operation Plan based on three principles: sustainability, old-age income security, and intergenerational equity, and submitted it to the National Assembly last October along with extensive data," and added, "On the 22nd, the three-month public discussion process of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Pension Reform was completed." He also said, "The sooner pension reform is implemented, the better," and "We will do our best to make the Pension Reform Promotion Team, launched today, a springboard for a sustainable National Pension system."
