HD Hyundai Samho Volunteer Circle Hosts 'New Hope Festival' for Leukemia Patients

Over 230 Participants Including Sick Children at Gwangju Family Land... Continuing for 24 Years

Volunteer Circle 'Sarang-i Itneun Pureun Sesang' with 320 HD Hyundai Samho Employees as Members

HD Hyundai Samho (CEO Shin Hyun-dae) announced on the 29th that its volunteer circle held an event to share warmth by inviting local children with leukemia and their families.


HD Hyundai Samho's volunteer circle, "A Blue World with Love," held the "New Hope Festival" on the 27th at Gwangju Family Land, attended by about 230 people including children with leukemia and their families. This event has been ongoing for 24 years.


The event was hosted by the Korea Leukemia and Childhood Cancer Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch and the "A Blue World with Love" Korea Childhood Cancer Gwangju-Jeonnam Parents Association, and was supported by HD Hyundai Samho and Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital.

The event included an opening ceremony, rides on amusement park attractions, and family free time. In particular, with support from Honam University Love Sharing Center and photographer Byun Dong-seop, events such as caricature drawing, face painting, makeup, and family photo shoots were also held.


Im Myeong-seon, president of "A Blue World with Love," said, "Thanks to the help of various organizations, we were able to hold a meaningful event," adding, "All members feel great fulfillment in being able to give children with leukemia precious time to spend with their families, even if only for a moment."


"A Blue World with Love" was founded in July 1999 to give courage and hope to children with leukemia in Gwangju and Jeonnam and to support them in continuing treatment without giving up.


Currently, about 320 HD Hyundai Samho employees are members, providing monthly support for treatment costs and living expenses to the children.
