Seoul Labor Rights Center - Emart24 Rider Rest Area Business Agreement

Woowa Brothers, responsible for Baedal Minjok's logistics services, is partnering with the Seoul Labor Rights Center and Emart24 to support rider rest using convenience stores. By utilizing 900 Emart24 convenience stores in Seoul as rider rest areas, it is expected to contribute to guaranteeing riders' rights to rest and health.

On the 29th, Woowa Brothers announced that they signed a "Joint Agreement for the Introduction and Expansion of Convenience Store Companion Rest Areas" with the Seoul Labor Rights Center, a Seoul city commissioned agency, and Emart24.

Through this agreement, Woowa Brothers, the Seoul Labor Rights Center, and Emart24 agreed to mutually cooperate in activities to protect riders' safety and health and support rider rest by utilizing Seoul's convenience store infrastructure.

The convenience store companion rest areas will be pilot-operated in May and June and then operated during the heatwave period (July to August) and cold wave period (November to December). During these periods, riders active in Seoul can comfortably rest at any of the 900 Emart24 stores located in Seoul. Additionally, to encourage the use of the convenience store companion rest areas, mobile coupons worth 10,000 KRW for convenience store use will be provided to a total of 4,000 riders. Mobile coupons can be received up to three times, once per operation period, and are provided by institutions that have completed safety training.

Jinsu Park, Head of the Rider Operations Center at Woowa Brothers, said, “We will continue rider co-prosperity activities to actively discover what our co-growth partners, the riders, truly need and continuously reflect these in support projects.”
