Strong Winds in Jeju Island Tomorrow... Maritime Fog Warning for the Near Future
Rain that began tonight on the 28th is expected to continue for two consecutive days until Monday night, the 29th. The nationwide morning low temperature is expected to drop to 10 degrees Celsius, resulting in somewhat chilly weather.
On the 29th, the country will be mostly cloudy with rain, and temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the average (morning lows 6?12°C, daytime highs 19?23°C). Morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 10 and 17 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 14 and 27 degrees Celsius.
The rain, which started late on the 28th in Jeju Island, will spread nationwide on the 29th, bringing rain to most regions. The Korea Meteorological Administration emphasized caution as Jeju Island may experience heavy rain of around 20 mm per hour accompanied by thunder and lightning from the early dawn to daytime on the 29th.
The rain will mostly stop by the night of the 29th, but some areas including the southern coast of Jeollanam-do, parts of southern Gyeongsangbuk-do, the Gyeongsangnam-do region, and Jeju Island may see rain continuing into the early dawn of the 30th. Expected precipitation amounts are less than 5 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon-do, around 5 mm in the Chungcheong region, and between 10 and 40 mm in the Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions.
On the 29th, Jeju Island may experience very strong winds with gusts exceeding 70 km/h, and the southern coast of Jeollanam-do and coastal areas of the Gyeongsang region may have strong winds with gusts around 55 km/h.
Additionally, the Korea Meteorological Administration advised caution for safety accidents as fog may form over most seas for the time being.
