On the afternoon of the 28th, a man in his 90s who was found floating in the sea near Doksom Amusement Park in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, was transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away.
According to the Changwon Coast Guard, a report was received at around 1:42 PM that day stating that a man, Mr. A, was floating in the sea.
The Changwon Coast Guard immediately dispatched the Masan Police Station coastal rescue boat and the Changwon Rescue Team to the scene and pulled Mr. A out of the water.
Mr. A, who was rescued unconscious, was taken to a nearby hospital but died at around 2:40 PM.
The Changwon Coast Guard plans to investigate the exact cause of death based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage around the accident site and witness statements.
